What Would You Leave Behind?

We spend a lot of time on our routines. We make coffee, we check email, we might make breakfast or pack lunches. We commute, we answer phones, we email more, we post on social media. We work, mostly at jobs that are not our dream jobs. We make money. We pay bills. If we're lucky, we might have something left over, and we spend that on stuff.

But if you died today, what would you leave behind?

Someone posed this question to me recently and it got me thinking. What would I be leaving behind for people? Hopefully, if I play my cards right, I can leave behind a piece of wisdom for my son: Don't spend an hour doing a job you hate. Spend as much time as possible doing the thing you love. Don't worry about money and what you have and don't have. Worry about what you're becoming. Build a legacy, so that the next generation can also find a model for living life to the fullest.
